Crafted by hand in the southern Appalachian mountains, with organic cotton and natural dyes.

My name is Jason Pierson, and I’m an end-of-life doula, textile artist, and natural dyer. With a commitment to sustainability, transparency, and compassionate service, I handmake each burial shroud with intention and dedication.

I am keenly aware of the anxiety and fear that often manifest in discussions of death and dying. By providing quality, handmade goods, I hope to enrich the after-death process and connect each person to their values and to the earth.

Sacred Shrouds are crafted with organic, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified cotton. Natural dyes are sourced locally, primarily foraged from the roadsides of rural Haywood County, NC.

All shipping materials are compostable or recycled. Burial shrouds are created in my home (in Canton, NC), which is a dedicated vegan and smoke-free space. All of the electrical usage in my home is offset with wind energy credits.
